For equipment with LCD display and without a communication interface, calibration is performed by a human operator, who manually collects the data, with the situations of repetitive workload or the possibility of incurring in transcription errors.
This work attempts to implement software that serves as a modular and scalable framework, based on computer vision algorithms for the automation of LCD data capture, eliminating the manual acquisition process. This project was born from the initiative of time and frequency personnel at CENAMEP AIP, aiming to minimize and flexibilize time spent on tachometer calibration services. Upon seeing technical feasibility, it was decided to expand the project to be used with different laboratory equipments.
